Can anyone tell me where the Crown and Anchor tavern used to be in the Strand? And point me to anywhere I can find out more about it please?

The location of the Crown and Anchor

The 'London Corresponding Society Meeting Places' blog gives lots of details about the Crown and Anchor, and offers the map below. Apparently the tavern was on Arundel Street, until recently the site of HSBC. The blog also tells us that King's Centre for Computing in the Humanities operates nearby.
